Miscillanious Coverage

In 2019 Kyrgyzstan announced it was going to place its first satellite in orbit. And the team responsible for doing so would be a group of young Kyrgyz women. They quickly became dubbed “The Satellite Girls” and spent much of the summer meeting with researchers from across the world to help gain the skills needed for their task.
Among their visits was a trip to the University of Bath, where they met Asel and spent several days meeting academics and students in the university.
